Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Twos Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a commitment to educating and caring for young children.
Highlights:
Work with children ages 2-3 every day.
Plan and implement engaging activities and support children's learning through play.
Observe children's growth and development, documenting milestones and learning progress.
Support family engagement by facilitating conferences, playgroups, family events, and individualized goal setting.
Enjoy a small classroom size with a maximum of 10 children and two teachers.
Work up to185 days per year, with fall, winter, and spring breaks, summers off, and federal holidays off.
Receive 10 paid leave days and opportunities for professional development and training.
Enjoy a part-time schedule of 6* hours per day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am- 2:00 pm*.
Important Considerations:
Health insurance is not provided with this part-time position.
Some children may not yet be potty trained, so diapering and toileting assistance may be required.
Some children may have special needs and require additional support, patience, and individualized attention.
Requirements
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and meet DCFS requirements; previous experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years old.
Preferred: Gateways Infant Toddler Level 2 Credential or higher.
Lift up to 50 lbs.; stand for most of the day; ability to interact with children on the floor.
