What We're Looking For:
Supervisor of BI & Data ScienceThe Supervisor of BI & Data Science is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and project lifecycles of the BI and Data Science team. This role focuses on supervising the team's work on data analysis, report generation, and the development of predictive models. The Supervisor will ensure that the team efficiently delivers high-quality business intelligence solutions, while also supporting the professional growth of team members.

In this role, the Supervisor works closely with the Manager to align BI and data science activities with business goals. The ideal candidate should be skilled in data analytics and BI tools, with a strong capability to manage multiple projects, track deliverables via Jira, and maintain smooth team operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise & Execute: Oversee the daily activities of the BI & Data Science team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Project Management: Manage project workflows, task tracking, and ticket lifecycles using Jira, ensuring clear visibility into team capacity, progress, and project timelines.
• Team Coordination: Facilitate regular project check-ins and status updates to drive momentum, manage workloads, and remove blockers for the team.
• Prioritization & Delegation: Collaborate with the Manager to prioritize projects, translate business requirements into actionable Jira tickets, and delegate tasks based on team members' strengths.
• Technical Support: Provide hands-on support with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation as needed.
• Delivery & Quality: Ensure that data models, reports, and dashboards meet business requirements and are delivered to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Mentorship: Monitor the performance of team members, offering guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
• Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting issues in BI tools, data pipelines, and machine learning models.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reports and models.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in BI, data science, and project management, recommending new tools or processes that could benefit the team.
• Reporting: Report progress, challenges, and achievements to the Manager, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or data science, preferably with leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience.
• Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data analysis frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing data-driven projects and coordinating team workflows using project management tools, specifically Jira.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Analytical Foundation: Deep understanding of data analysis, visualization, reporting techniques, and familiarity with ETL processes.
• Programming: Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R.
• Project Management: Proficiency in task management, progress tracking, and workflow organization using Jira.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership: Proven team supervision skills, with a track record of coaching and developing team members.
• Organization: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and balance technical work with project management duties.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently or in a fast-paced team environment.

Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 12% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
