Point72, L.P. has an opening for a Storage Manager, File Storage Technology in Stamford, Connecticut. This position is hybrid; may work from home up to 2 days per week, as permitted.
Own the global product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Enterprise File storage services platform supporting quantitative research and systematic trading. Architect and oversee high performance, large-scale distributed File storage systems designed for ultra-low latency, massive throughput, and extreme reliability. Define and enforce enterprise standards for scalability, resiliency, durability, security, and regulatory compliance in financial environments. Design system and solution architecture for File storage. Develop production readiness and operational resilience plans for Enterprise File storage infrastructure. Lead and manage globally distributed team of senior engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance management. Evaluate and approve engineering deliverables from geographically distributed teams to ensure alignment with product strategy and business priorities. Partner with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, data science teams, and platform engineering groups to align storage capabilities with business objectives. Establish and monitor KPIs for reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and user adoption across the firm for File storage. Responsible for data Migration and troubleshooting access/performance/capacity related issues. May work at home up to 2 days per week.
Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and at least 7 years of progressive experience as a Storage Specialist or a related role. Must also possess at least 3 years of experience with the following: architecting and designing large scale distributed enterprise File storage systems supporting high performance computing, analytics, or financial trading environments; with performance optimization, scalability engineering, and high availability design for ultra low latency, high throughput file storage platforms; with enterprise infrastructure architecture, including resiliency, disaster recovery, data durability, and security controls in regulated environments; and collaborating with cross functional stakeholders, including engineering, research, and business teams, to translate complex technical requirements into scalable storage solutions.
