Northcentral Learning Resource Center (NCLRC) is seeking a dedicated, student-centered School Psychologist to join our collaborative special education cooperative serving multiple rural and small-town school districts in northcentral Montana. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a critical role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, and emotional success.
What You'll Do:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support special education eligibility.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions, IEPs, and supports for students with diverse needs.
Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families on academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
Support prevention, early intervention, and positive behavioral frameworks.
Participate in crisis response and promote safe, supportive school environments.
Deliver professional development to educators and staff.

Ideal Candidates:
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology and must possess, or be eligible to obtain, appropriate Montana educator licensure. Qualified candidates must meet the requirements for either:
Montana Class 6 Specialist License with a School Psychologist endorsement, or
Montana Class 5 Provisional License (for individuals who are otherwise qualified and working toward full licensure requirements as established by the Montana Office of Public Instruction).
Graduate students in an approved School Psychology preparation program who are entering or completing their supervised practicum or internship year and are eligible for Montana provisional licensure are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Eligible for Montana Class 6 School Psychologist licensure (or equivalent)
Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
Key Skills:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations (cognitive, academic, social-emotional, behavioral)
Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, parents, and administrators
Consult on academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions
Knowledge of IDEA, Montana ARM, RTI/MTSS, FBA/BIP processes
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards
Preferred Experience:
Rural or multi-district service experience
Trauma-informed and school-based mental health supports
Professional development delivery for staff
Familiarity with digital special education documentation systems
Work Environment: Travel required between multiple member school districts across northcentral Montana.
Ability to work independently with regular support from the cooperative’s leadership team and professional network.
