A leading global proprietary trading firm is looking for a Principal C# Software Engineer to join its high-performance engineering team in Sydney .

This role sits at the intersection of trading, real-time systems, and desktop engineering - focused on building sophisticated front-office applications used directly by traders and researchers across global financial markets. You'll design and develop high-performance Windows desktop applications that visualise large volumes of real-time market and trading data with exceptional speed, responsiveness, and usability.

You will:

• Build modern C# / .NET desktop applications powering real-time trading workflows

• Develop responsive UI and visualisation tools for complex market data

• Work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and eng ineers

• Own projects end-to-end from design through deployment

• Optimise systems for performance, scalability, threading, and reliability

• Influence UI frameworks, engineering standards, and architecture decisions

What They're Looking For

• 7+ years of C# / .NET engineering experience

• Strong desktop UI development experience (WPF, WinForms, XAML, etc.)

• Strong understanding of async programming, threading, MVVM, and performance optimisation

• Experience building highly responsive, production-grade applications

• Excellentproblem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments
