POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Elementary School
• Position: 11-Month, Anticipated Probationary Appointment
• Start Date: September 2026
• Salary: Minimum $57,480 (prorated); actual salary based on education and experience
• Certification: NYS School Counselor certification required

RESPONSIBILITIES

The School Counselor works collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and staff to promote student success.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individual and group counseling
• Supporting students' social-emotional development and skill building
• Providing academic guidance and planning
• Assisting with conflict resolution and crisis intervention
• Collaborating with families, teachers, and school staff
• Using students' strengths, needs, and interests to support their development

Salary/Compensation: $57,480 - $57,480 per year
