Chemcoaters LLC is a coil coating company that is a leader in innovative corrosion-inhibiting products used on high-speed coil lines. Our ChemGuard series of products are designed to provide superior corrosion-inhibiting performance in all environments on both carbon-steel and galvanized steel.
We are currently seeking an entry-level Lab Associate and Chemical Blender. No experience with blending or lab work required – we are looking for a highly motivated individual who is open and willing to learn new skills while working in both an individual and team setting. The position aids in the blending of coating batches and the R&D of new products while working to maintain a safe and functioning test environment.
This will be an hourly position starting at a minimum of $20/Hour for the appropriate candidate
The position is required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week between the hours of 6am-4pm.
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for chemical blending large batches and performing basic lab work, including some basic chemistry duties, aiding in sample preparation, cleaning lab and blending area, and completing general tasks to help in sustaining a functioning research lab – including keeping areas organized. Applicants should have excellent record-keeping and organizational skills, have the ability to communicate strongly through written/oral documents, and be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with various chemicals. No previous experience required.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities
Blend chemicals in a manufacturing environment with the occasional requirement of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Aid in the development of new innovative coatings
Perform general tasks to assist in keeping lab in functional and orderly condition
Maintain and clean test equipment on a regular basis
Adhere to regulatory safety systems as they relate to plant operations
Prepare summaries and reports of work conducted
Job Qualifications:
Some lab or chemical blending experience
Ability to learn new tasks efficiently and accurately
Detail oriented and highly organized
Able to adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Comfortable working on their feet for periods of time within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in windows-based computers, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
