Punahou School is currently recruiting Full Time Regular Math faculty members. Faculty members are responsible for designing and delivering effective classroom instruction; attending regular conferences with colleagues; and meeting with students during office hours to provide extra support. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to diverse classroom environments; be capable of the smooth delivery of ongoing instructional programs; and thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Position Details:
- Work Year: 9 Months
- School Year: 2026-2027
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs
- Faculty Salary Range*: $59,790 - $120,828 - Compensation commensurate with qualifications

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Mathematics or related field.
- Thorough knowledge of content including through at least high school Pre-Calculus.
- Demonstrated familiarity with curriculum, teaching methods and assessment frameworks in the subjects and age ranges; and age-related expectations of students.
- Ability to administer and interpret a variety of assessments.
- Working familiarity with assistive technologies, Internet and Email systems, word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Familiarity with computers (Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning.
- Working knowledge of various office and video equipment.
- Knowledge of educational software.
- The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience working in a high school setting.
- Experience with teaching Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, Differential Calculus and/or AP Calculus AB courses.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds; an understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents and sensitivity to each individual student’s needs; the ability to appreciate the variety of perspectives offered by all members of the community.
