We have multiple exciting opportunities for candidates with 2-8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team of professionals and contribute to projects in Water/Wastewater/Stormwater service areas. An ideal candidate will either have design experience on water resource projects or have hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis experience. These roles are open in our New York, NY office and/or our Columbus, OH office.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as a liaison for project managers/team leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project aspects. Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members.
Effectively communicate with project engineers, managers, and client staff for successful project execution. Work with project managers on schedules, budgets, and workplans, and complete projects on time.
Water Resources Engineer Track:
Lead/support the planning, designing, and management of projects related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance, which would include sewer/pipelines, water/wastewater treatment, and pumping facilities.
Perform routine to moderately intricate design assignments requiring the application of fundamental design techniques in accordance with company and industry standards and codes. Investigate and conduct analyses to support the development of engineering solutions and prepare documentation and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant national and local standards and codes of practice.
Provide professional engineering support during construction: review of shop drawings, respond to requests for information (RFI's), provide construction oversight, and execute permit closeouts.
H&H Modeler Track:
Lead/support the development of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models and standardizing modeling procedures
Lead/support detailed H&H analysis on various drainage improvement, flood mitigation, and water quality improvement projects
Support the conceptual/detailed development of flood mitigation/resilient design alternatives by incorporating the proposed design elements (such as green and grey infrastructure strategies) into the H&H models and perform detailed analysis.

Qualifications and Skills
Specific qualifications and skills desired include, but are not limited to, the following:
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering/Science is required. In addition,
For Water Resources Engineer Track: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the design of water/wastewater infrastructure components and EIT Certification; working towards/possessing a Professional Engineer licensure (PE) is desired.
For H&H Modeler Track: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in using H&H modeling tools (such as InfoWorks ICM and EPA SWMM) or in performing drainage analysis pertaining to water/wastewater infrastructure components.
For both tracks:
Work experience in common industry software used for water infrastructure projects such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD/ Civil 3D.
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Work in a fast-paced team environment to accomplish multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
Experience in field inspections, data collection, and instrumentation for stormwater and water quality projects is considered a plus.
