Paediatric Speech Pathologist (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Sydney – Community-Based (Local Area)
We are a small, supportive, and growing paediatric speech pathology team seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our practice.
This is a flexible role offering a geographically clustered caseload, minimal travel, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful, functional therapy in real-world settings.
You will step into an established caseload from day one, supported by a strong referral base and consistent client demand.
About the Role
You will provide assessment and intervention for children with a range of communication needs, including:
Speech sound disorders
Language delays and disorders
Fluency (stuttering)
Social communication differences
Early literacy and phonological awareness
School aged literacy
Developmental conditions
Orofacial myofunctional disorders
Your role will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing functional, goal-based therapy plans
Delivering evidence-based intervention in community settings
Building strong, collaborative relationships with families and educators
Working alongside other allied health professionals
Managing your own caseload, schedule, and clinical planning with autonomy
Maintaining clear and efficient clinical documentation
What We Offer
Approx. $110–$120 per hour inclusive of travel (based on current caseload) + super
Established caseload from commencement
Strong referral base – no client sourcing required
Minimal local travel with geographically clustered clients
Paid travel time
Flexible working arrangements (full-time or part-time)
Contractor or salaried options available
No KPIs or unrealistic targets
Weekly team meetings and access to clinical support as needed

Earning potential growth:
Opportunity to increase percentage split over time (up to 60%) Potential to increase effective hourly rate depending on caseload structure
About You
Experienced Speech Pathologist with SPA membership (or eligibility)
Confident managing a paediatric caseload independently
Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
Values autonomy, flexibility, and work–life balance
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Motivated, proactive, and organised clinician
Requirements
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable car

Requirements
Job Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Current membership (or eligibility for membership) with Speech Pathology Australia
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable car
Ability to manage a mobile paediatric caseload within a local area
Strong clinical skills in paediatric assessment and intervention
Experience or willingness to work collaboratively with families, daycares, schools, and teachers
Ability to provide functional, holistic, and client-centred support for children with a range of communication needs, including neurodivergent and complex clients
Motivated, proactive, and self-directed clinician
Fun, engaging, and positive approach to working with children and families
Values flexibility, autonomy, and work-life balance
Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
Commitment to evidence-based, family-centred practice
