The SLAM Collaborative (SLAM) has an opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our office in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, be licensed (or in the process of obtaining licensure), and have experience in project design leadership, management, construction documentation, and construction administration.
SLAM Civil Engineering in Orlando has provided site design for large and small projects at Walt Disney World for over 20 years. In the past 10 years, SLAM was the civil engineer of record for some of the largest attraction level projects at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios parks. This opportunity should be of special interest to someone that wishes to provide civil engineering site design within a theme park environment in addition to other projects located around the country in our nationwide practice.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate with staff to advance project objectives
Develop and express strong planning and design concepts
Produce creative solutions that solve technical problems in harmony with project design objectives
Translate design concepts into AutoCad Civil 3d CAD based technical drawings and specifications
Key Skills:
Experience in complex demolition and erosion control, site grading and drainage, construction documentation and drainage calculations for stormwater management, utility design and regulatory compliance
Strong written and verbal communications skills; able to interact directly with clients/owners, contractors and coordinate designs with architects and other engineers
Ability to evaluate campuses/sites analytically and graphically
Strong technical skills with site layout, grading/surface drainage, utility design, construction detailing
Multi-media 2D and 3D design and documentation skills including proficiency with AutoCad Civil3d, Auto Turn, and Microsoft programs
Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines
Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering required
