Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and cleared Senior Data Pipeline Engineer to join our team supporting a critical National Security mission in Linthicum, MD. This is a high-priority role responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, high-volume data ingestion and processing pipelines.
If you have a strong background in Python-based analytics development, deep experience with PySpark and AWS Lambda, and current expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and vulnerability management, we want to hear from you. TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly is required.
What You Will Do
Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of complex data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and PIG. Review and manage data ingest tickets and merge requests, ensuring data quality and compliance. Apply your expertise in System Authorization and Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure all systems meet strict security standards. Actively engage in Vulnerability Management processes, utilizing tools like Nessus Vulnerability Scanner to identify and remediate security risks. Collaborate with analytic teams to refine data models and improve pipeline performance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (Mandatory). Strong background in analytics development and data engineering principles. Expert-level proficiency in Python for application and data pipeline scripting. Proven experience with System Authorization and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Experience with Vulnerability Management and/or the Nessus Vulnerability Scanner. Relevant experience (based on education level): Bachelor's + 8 years, Associate's + 10 years, High School + 12 years, or Doctorate's + 4 years.
Highly Desired Skills (Bonus Points)
Experience with AWS Lambda functions and serverless computing. Familiarity with data processing tools like PIG and Scala. Knowledge of Patch Management and IAVA tracking. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
