Now, East Valley School District invites exceptional leaders to apply for the position of Superintendent by March 16, 2026, with appointment beginning July 1, 2026. About East Valley School District
Serving approximately 3,300 students across a 100-square-mile region, East Valley offers a unique blend of suburban comfort and rural openness. The district includes:
Four PK–6 schools
One K–8 school
One 7–8 middle school
One comprehensive high school

STEAM, AVID, CTE pathways, dual credit, and extensive extracurricular offerings

The Leader We Seek
East Valley is looking for a superintendent who embodies both professional excellence and personal authenticity.
Professional Qualifications
Experience as a teacher, principal, and district-level leader
Strong instructional leadership and in depth knowledge of teaching and learning
Financial and operational expertise
Strategic planning and systems leadership
Ability to build strong community partnerships

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Current WA State Superintendent Certification preferred
Prior successful experience as a school administrator
Highly visible and present within the schools and community
Experience partnering with community members and local organizations in support of public education
Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Awareness of current state legislation for public schools and subsequent local impacts
Exceptional leadership and management skills
Strong interpersonal skills that include transparent and respectful interactions with students, staff, families, and community members, with the ability to engage diverse perspectives and build trust
Exemplary communication skills in listening, speaking, and writing
Commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices
Models high standards of professional and ethical behavior at all times, and operates consistently with integrity
Residency Requirement
Residency within school district boundaries is strongly preferred.
Compensation
The Board will offer a competitive, multi-year contract based on experience and qualifications.
