This position is in Cargill's food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Reliability Engineer is primarily focused on mechanical systems and components, with responsibility for identifying and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability, reduce functional failures, and optimize costs. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical and electrical integrity of assets, while promoting a culture of Reliability Excellence in compliance with EHS and Food Safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
• Define and update the equipment criticality matrix.
• Implement and monitor Equipment Reliability Strategies.
• Coordinate predictive maintenance and failure analysis (RCFA, RCM).
• Support investment projects and equipment replacement initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for technical improvements.
• Monitor reliability KPIs and Asset Health data.
• Promote continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Apply and support the use of reliability tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Whys, 5S, and eMOC
• Provide on-call availability for maintenance emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• Proficiency in both English and Italian (spoken and written).
