WHITNALL SCHOOL DISTRICT - High School Principal
Position Start Date: July 1, 2026 (or sooner)- 2026–2027 School Year

The Whitnall School District is seeking an experienced, student-centered, and highly collaborative educational leader to serve as the next Principal of Whitnall High School. About Whitnall School District - Whitnall is a district on the rise. With strong community backing, as shown by our recently approved referendum, we are entering an exciting phase of facility enhancements, learning environment upgrades, and programmatic improvements. Much of this work begins this spring, setting the stage for a transformed high school experience in the years ahead.

Additionally, Whitnall has launched a new strategic plan that provides clear priorities for student learning, instruction, culture, engagement, and operational excellence. The next Whitnall High School Principal will play a central role in bringing this vision to life.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary leadership aligned with the district’s strategic plan and high expectations for teaching and learning.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Supervise, evaluate, and support staff to ensure instructional excellence and student achievement.
• Maintain clear and consistent expectations for students, staff, and programs.
• Lead positive, proactive communication with families, staff, and community partners.
• Oversee school operations, budgets, schedules, and improvement planning.
• Serve as an engaged, present, and visible leader throughout the school community.
• Guide and support referendum-related work beginning this spring.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s standards for teacher development and licensure.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s administrator standards for administrator development and licensure.
• Engage in collective responsibility for student health and safety.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field
• Wisconsin Principal License (or eligibility)
• Successful leadership experience at the secondary level preferred
• Demonstrated success in building relationships, improving instruction, and fostering positive school culture
