Overview

Fiddler's Elbow is a Private Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, offering exclusive access to world-class amenities, including three championship golf courses. Since opening our doors in 1965, the Club continues to set the gold standard as the state's only 54-Hole Club where family and business members thrive.

The property showcases nearly 1,000 acres of spectacular countryside and an array of unique Member privileges. Fiddler's is not only proud of our three golf courses, but also our stunning Clubhouse featuring both fine and casual dining restaurants, our banquet facilities, tennis, paddle, and pickleball courts, aquatics facility, and fitness facility.

Our practice facilities include a two-sided driving range, two practice putting greens, and short game area. The Golf Academy located on our driving range includes three indoor/outdoor hitting bays equipped with all of the latest teaching technology. This Academy Building, led by PGA Director of Instruction Danny Harcourt and World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame Member Mike Adams, doubles as the home of the New Jersey PGA Section and the New Jersey Golf Foundation.

With the recent purchase of two nearby farmland properties, Fiddler's Elbow continues to expand. The master plan includes a Par 3 Course, 3-Hole Loop, 2.5-acre putting green, expanded driving range, short game area and practice putting green renovation, a redesigned Meadow Course including renovation of 7 current holes and new build of 11 holes, as well as offsite overnight accommodations with event venue and food and beverage outlets.

The PGA Assistant Golf Professional shall perform all of the listed duties with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and with the intent to always exceed Member and guest expectations. We will always have a "Yes, we can!" attitude with a smile. The position requires that the individual maintains a member-centric vision that they help the entire team understand and maintain.

Experience Required

• Professional Staff experience at a Private Facility (required)
• PGA Class A Membership (preferred)

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day Golf Shop operations
• Member and guest greeting and check-in
• Opening/closing procedures and tee sheet management
• Assist Members with event sign-ups
• Assist in tournament operations including course set-up, preparation, scoring, and prizes
• Conduct individual lessons, group/youth clinics, and club-fitting while gaining knowledge under the Director of Instruction and Teaching Professionals
• Play golf with a variety of Members and guests
• Golf Shop cleanliness, sales assistance, and inventory control
• Club repair as needed
• Remain current on teaching methods and technology
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner/maintain a professional image at all times
• Show strong interpersonal and communication skills with high energy/enthusiasm
• Show the ability to generate interest in the golf program and connect with Members
• Maintain and grow a strong working knowledge of the Rules of Golf
• Assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in any other functions that he deems necessary for the success of the golf operation
