MVCC is seeking to fill a ten-month Instructor position in our School of Health Sciences. The Instructor will teach in a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accredited, Associate degree radiologic technology program. Teaching responsibilities include lecture, lab and clinical assignments on the Utica campus with travel to off-campus clinical sites. Additionally, the position includes student advisement and committee responsibilities as well as curriculum development and program assessment activities.
Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in traditional classroom settings and over the Internet. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement and facilitating student internship experiences, as well as recruiting for the program. They serve as members of various School and College Committees.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Holds, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree (with completion of a Master's degree within two (2) years)
- Documents three (3) years' clinical experience in the professional discipline
- Documents at least one (1) year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
- Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) certification and registration, in radiology or equivalent in radiation therapy
