POSITION DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Full Time dedicated occupational therapist (OT) to join a strong team of therapists in an excellent school district in Corona! The OT will develop functional treatment plans for students that address fine motor coordination deficits, self regulatory skills for modulation in the classroom and during transitions, handwriting and typing skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills, and the development of other educationally-related motor and perceptual skills.
The school-based occupational therapist should tailor treatment sessions to students’ specific IEP goals and their day-to-day needs for support in the classroom based on evidence-based practice (EBP). He or she should be comfortable with the use of standardized assessments used in schools and the IEP process. The OT will be required to collaborate closely with staff members involved in their students' educational program. He or she will report to parents, service providers, and other members of the IEP team in meetings while reviewing assessments, current level of function and progress, and data driven, educationally-related goals for students.
Therapists should provide best practice treatment strategies for every student to enhance the effectiveness of interventions. We use a team approach together with parents and caregivers, school administrators, teachers, and other therapists.
Potential start date: 01/05/25. Please note that there is potential for a year-round position.
Location: Corona, CA

Schedule: Full Time
Hours: 37.50 per week
Grade/Age Levels: May include either Elementary, Middle, or High School aged students
Pay Range: $72.00 - $74.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide students with one to one and small group treatment, addressing the individualized goals for each student, collecting data on progress clearly and consistently.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations appropriate to student needs.
- Complete standardized and non-standardized assessments; write and present clear reports and data to the IEP team and parents.
- Participate collaboratively in the IEP meeting process with parents and a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with educators and classroom staff to facilitate intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and service tracking records.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid California state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy and assessment
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities
- Experience writing clear data-driven reports and goals
- Experience with the IEP process
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- One year experience working in a school setting
