Role Summary:
The Director, People Business Partner for Engineering serves as a strategic adviser and trusted partner to senior engineering leaders. This role drives the people strategy needed to build and scale high-performing engineering teams, aligning workforce, culture, and leadership priorities with the broader Engineering strategy. This roles provides strategic consultancy related to the people agenda and vision of "one LSEG" aligned to the Group and Divisional strategic objectives. This role will partner directly with one or more Group Leaders and their organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with senior business leaders to align and develops people strategies with the divisional business objectives.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring the right talent, leadership and culture are in place to achieve divisional strategic goals.
- Leads talent management initiatives including strategic workforce planning, succession planning and organisation design.
- Collaborates with business leaders to identify and develop top talent, ensuring alignment with EDI targets.
- Drives leadership development initiatives that address both current and future business needs, ensuring a strong pipeline of leaders ready to take on critical roles.
- Provides strategic guidance to business leaders on organisational effectiveness, team development, and leadership capability.
- Supports the business through key transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and minimising disruption to the workforce.
- Works in close collaboration with COEs and CPPs to implement solutions across the division.
- Leverages people analytics to drive informed decision-making, track progress, and improve business outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience as a senior HR/People Partner supporting complex technical or engineering organisations.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders, influence strategic decision-making, and drive organisational change.
- Demonstrated experience leading talent, culture, and organisational development initiatives at scale.
- Acts as a trusted adviser with strategic acumen, courage, and sound judgement.
- Builds strong cross-functional partnerships and navigates ambiguity with resilient, solutions-focused leadership.
- Promotes data-driven decisions and cultivates continuous improvement mindsets across teams.
- Curious and open to evolving ways of working with AI
