CAMP LOHIKAN in the Pocono Mts.

Camp Lohikan is a coed resident summer camp located in Wayne County, which is situated in northeast Pennsylvania.  Our campers range in age from 6 to 15 and come to camp from all over the world. CAMP LOHIKAN'S FACILITIES are among the most extensive in camping! COLLEGE STUDENTS, TEACHERS, COACHES & CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS: In addition to food service staff members, we are searching for college-enrolled cabin counselors and activity instructors,  as well as certified teachers, coaches, and other professionals to direct and instruct our 65+ Arts, Sports & Adventure  Activities, e.g., horseback riding director, tennis director, pool director, lifeguard trainer, lake director, inter-camp games director, evening program director, special events director, group leaders, head counselors, transportation staff, nurses, doctors, office staff, maintenance staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience in quantity food production service, food safety and sanitation requirements/procedures.
• Culinary school graduates preferred.
• Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
• Ability to handle long hours and camp life with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• General knowledge and understanding of nutrition.
• Ability to interact positively with children, other camp personnel and the public.
• As a condition of employment applicants must pass Camp Lohikan's pre-offer and post-offer staff screening processes which include: reference checks, criminal background checks, sex-offender registry check and other staff screening checks deemed appropriate.
